The Universities of Life Have Qualifying Questions ...

Life will always test the pathways of Education.

Life may not have the same way of marking success …

What happens when the power goes out? Or if money fails (it HAS happened before)?

What happens when the forests burn? Or a region becomes unbearably hot?

What happens when critical species are removed from the food chain and biosphere?

Do you have enough in motion–a sustainable Community–to carry you forward in life?

What is your priority for knowledge acquisition? Education? What is critical? What is not?

Education is Central

We view Education as a central pillar of our approach.

However, our content is not a typical higher learning approach–as in a “standard” (whatever that is) academic post-Secondary or university approach.

You will find engaging discussion from alternate vantage points, an encouragement to discover creativity, and a full engagement of all aspects of our being. We encourage development of “right and left brain thinking” and not just a strictly academic approach.

This means we look for approaches and thinking where New thoughts are on the table. We honor and value work already done (the Old) where and when it makes sense to act as a foundation for the New.

Education Must be Practical

By practical we don’t mean just working with one’s hands.

Education must provide value for life. It cannot simply be about the latest theory. When the student is struggling with basic arithmetic to make change when the computer breaks down, something is amiss.

When we lose basic life skills (like growing food) and rely solely upon an external system, something is missing in our Education.

Education must prepare and equip the student–regardless of age–for life.

Education must be viewed in the context of Community … and not just isolated in a corner … a corner where the parents or the school are the sole responsibility holders.

Our Books are Educational but Reflect Practical Truths

Whether it is Volume 5 (Education) or Volumes 1- 4 (Foundations, Land, Housing, Food), we embed principles of Education.

We encourage you to look over additional details in The Village Marketplace for more information.

As well, you will find several areas within our websites that are Educational in nature.
